This is the initial entry into this forum. This is a place where different Tests for Higher Standards (TfHS) and ROSworks, LLC (ROS) staff members, with occasional guest commentators, will write about matters concerning k-12 assessment in the USA. Most of this will be for the benefit of our two companies’ client bases. Others are welcome to read.
Simply put, TfHS builds tests and item banks based on state standards; whereas ROS is a web-based assessment building, administration, scoring, and reporting application. Though the two are separate products, the TfHS items and tests are available within ROS for those clients who have both products.
Currently, the two companies serve school- and district-level clients in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
